ABOUT ITERELY

Business Analysis-led process automation consultancy

Iterely is led by a BCS-qualified business analyst. We diagnose where professional services firms lose time before we build the automation that removes it.

ABOUT

Most automation projects fail because nobody diagnosed the problem first.

Iterely exists because of a pattern that shows up everywhere: a firm knows something is slow, buys a tool to fix it, and eighteen months later the tool is barely used and the process is unchanged. The problem was never the technology. The problem was that nobody sat down and worked out what was actually broken.

THE APPROACH

We are business analysts who happen to build automation.

There is an established discipline for this. It is called business analysis, and it has been used for decades on projects far larger and more consequential than a client onboarding workflow. It involves mapping how work actually flows through an organization, quantifying what each step costs, identifying where the real constraint sits, and only then deciding what to change.

Most automation agencies skip that entirely. They ask what you want built, they build it, they invoice you. If what you asked for was not the thing that would have made the biggest difference, that is treated as your problem rather than theirs.

We do it the other way around. Every engagement starts with analysis. We map your current process in full, put a dollar figure on what it costs you, and tell you honestly whether automation is worth doing. Sometimes the answer is that a process needs simplifying rather than automating. We would rather tell you that than sell you a build you do not need.

CREDENTIALS

The qualification behind the method.

Iterely is led by a business analyst holding the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis and professional membership of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.

BCS is the chartered professional body for the IT profession in the UK, and its Chartered IT Professional status sits alongside chartership in law, accounting, and engineering. It is independently assessed against standards of competence, ethics, and continuing professional development, rather than issued by a software vendor for completing their own training.

We mention it for one reason. Your firm would not let an unqualified person sign off on client work. The same standard should apply to whoever is redesigning how that work gets done.

WHERE AI FITS

Most of what we build is not AI, and that is deliberate.

The majority of every system we build is deterministic. Rules, triggers, and integrations that do exactly the same thing every time and can be audited step by step. If a document needs to go to a specific person when a specific field is filled in, that is a rule. It does not need a language model, and putting one there would make the process less reliable rather than more.

AI is used at the points where a rule genuinely cannot work. Reading information out of an unstructured document. Classifying an inbound request that arrives in a hundred different formats. These are real problems that rules-based automation has never solved well, and this is where the technology earns its place.

Three constraints apply wherever we use it:

If you have tried ChatGPT and found it interesting but not useful, this is why. A capable model on its own is not a process. The value is in the workflow around it.

HOW WE WORK

You work with the analyst directly.

There is no account manager, no junior consultant learning on your engagement, and no handoff between the person who understood your business and the person who specifies the build. The analyst who runs your discovery workshop is the same person who writes your specification and stays accountable for the result.

That is deliberate, and it is the reason we cap how many builds we take on at once. We would rather deliver two engagements properly than six adequately.

WHAT WE ARE NOT

A short list of things we do not do.

We are not a software vendor.

We do not sell you a platform and charge you monthly for permission to use it. What we build runs on your systems, under your accounts, and belongs to you. The retainer pays for a person to maintain it, not for a licence to keep it switched on.

We are not replacing your practice management system.

We connect what you already have and remove the manual steps between them.

We are not putting AI in charge of client work.

Its role is bounded, and a person signs off on everything that leaves your firm.

We are not going to tell you everything needs automating.

Some processes are cheap to run manually and should stay that way. Discovery tells us which is which.

Start with a conversation, not a proposal.

GET STARTED

Book a free 30-minute discovery call. We will ask how your firm operates, identify where we think time is being lost, and send you a written report within 72 hours. No cost, no commitment, and an honest answer if we do not think there is enough opportunity to justify an engagement.
